This bracelet is made from one large genuine Lonely Stone, cut and polished into a set of approximately 12 mm old-style barrel beads (老型珠). The beads have a soft, rounded barrel shape with gently curved surfaces and a substantial feel in the hand. Because they were cut from the same original pebble, the bracelet has a natural consistency that is difficult to achieve by assembling beads from different sources. The white jade has a warm, creamy appearance with the smooth, rich luster associated with fine Xinjiang Hetian nephrite.

Several beads retain small areas of the natural characteristics of the original seed pebble, including traces of natural skin and subtle golden-brown skin marks. These are not artificially added colors or manufactured “seed skin.” They are part of the original material and provide an important visual connection between the finished beads and the Lonely Stone from which they were cut.

Genuine Lonely Stone bead bracelets are particularly difficult to source. A large, high-quality seed pebble must first have enough size and sufficient material quality to be cut into multiple well-proportioned beads, while maintaining the fine texture and clean appearance expected of collector-grade Hetian jade. This is one reason why many white jade bead bracelets on the market cannot be directly compared with bracelets cut from a genuine seed pebble. When we describe a bead or bracelet as being cut from a Lonely Stone, it means that the material comes from a genuine Xinjiang seed pebble.

Compared with ordinary white nephrite beads, beads cut from a fine seed pebble often have a distinctive oily feel and a more intimate, natural character. The combination of material provenance, unified composition, natural seed characteristics, and the rarity of finding a sufficiently large and fine Lonely Stone makes this type of bracelet especially interesting for serious Hetian jade collectors.
